About me
Chris Bertha serves as head of school at Hancock Day School in Savannah, GA. He is a career educator with over 20 years of experience teaching, advising, coaching, and leading in independent and charter schools. Chris joined the Hancock community in 2024.
Between 2013 and 2024, Chris served as a campus administrator for a K-12 charter school in Tampa, FL, and as a middle and upper school division head in PK-8 and PK-12 schools in Texas.
Chris earned a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Georgia Tech and an M.A. in Private School Leadership from Teachers College. Chris is thrilled to be back on the East Coast and in the SAIS network.
Chris serves as a visiting team member in the SAIS accreditation process and on the executive committee of Savannah's middle school athletics association.
